Abstract
Článek seznamuje čtenáře s nově badatelsky zpřístupněnou pozůstalostí klasického archeologa Wilhelma Kleina (1850-1924), uloženou v Archivu UK. Wilhelm Klein působil na Německé Karlo-Ferdinandově/Německé univerzitě v Praze v letech 1886-1923. Zachovaná korespondence ukazuje zapojení pražského profesora do komunikační sítě soudobých klasických archeologů a sběratelů umění, a to nejen německých a rakouských. Významná je zejména korespondence s archeologem Ludwigem Pollakem. V závěru jsou editovány vybrané dopisy Ludwiga Pollaka, Alphonse Van Branteghem, Eugénie Sellers Strong, Heinricha Alfreda Schmida a matematika Georga Picka.

This article presents the collections of Classical archaeologist Wilhelm Klein (1850-1924), kept in the Archive of the Charles University, which have recently become accessible to researchers. Klein worked at the German Charles-Ferdinand University (later German University) in 1886-1923. Surviving correspondence demonstrates this Prague professor's involvement in the communication networks of contemporary Classical archaeologists and art collectors, and not only German and Austrian ones. Of special importance is his correspondence with the archaeologist Ludwig Pollak. Appended at the end of the study are selected letters by Ludwig Pollak, Alphonse Van Branteghem, Eugénie Sellers Strong, Heinrich Alfred Schmid, and the mathematician Georg Pick.
