A Mohácsi csata és a cseh városok a 16. század második évtizedében

Abstract

A mohácsi csata és annak belpolitikai következményei hasonlóan jelentős eseményt jelentenek a cseh városok, mint birtok történetében, mint a Habsburg uralkodók elleni 1547-es és 1618-1620-as felkelések leverése. A királyi városokkal szemben legalább némi fogékonyságra törekvő Jagelló Lajos halála után I. Habsburg Ferdinánd személyében olyan király lépett a cseh trónra, aki a királyi hatalomnak közvetlenül alárendelt társadalom részének tekintette őket. A dolgozat a mohácsi csata előestéjén kialakult helyzetre összpontosít, amikor a cseh királyi városok továbbra is két csoportra voltak osztva. The Battle of Mohács and its internal political consequences represent a similarly significant event for the history of the Bohemian towns as an estate as the defeat of the uprisings against the Habsburg monarchs in 1547 and 1618-1620. After the death of Louis Jagiello, who tried to be at least a little responsive towards the royal towns, in Ferdinand I of Habsburg ascended the Bohemian throne a king, who saw them as a part of society directly subordinate to the royal power. The paper focuses on the situation on the eve of the Battle of Mohács, when the Bohemian royal towns remained divided into two groups. Some of the towns, under the leadership of the sub-chamberlain Jakub Kyšperský of Vřesovice, sent their military detachments, which bled to death at the Battle of Mohács. The other group of towns (under the leadership of the Prague town council) deliberately hesitated and did not join Louis's army in time. However, the consequences of the change on the throne eventually affected the entire city state equally. The second part of the paper shows that further developments had a devastating impact on the political and military potential of the Bohemian royal towns as an estate.
