Le modèle gravitationnel. Le cercle vicieux de l'(in)existence du champ littéraire subsaharien francophone de l'époque anticoloniale

Abstract

En 2005, Benoît Denis et Jean-Marie Klinkenberg ont publié La littérature belge. Précis d'histoire sociale, essai dans lequel ils abordent la problématique du centre et de la périphérie. En l'appliquant au contexte Belgique-France, ils expliquent le processus de la reconnaissance identitaire de la littérature mineure par la littérature majeure. Ce modèle se réfère a deux forces : centripète, assimilation, et centrifuge, différenciation. Le centre et la périphérie interagissent par des tensions diverses et continuelles. Nous réemployons cette méthodologie pour expliquer les éléments qui influencent la mémoire collective des colonisés et la question identitaire décrite dans les littératures subsahariennes qui entrent dans le champ littéraire français. La lutte pour un champ littéraire proprement subsaharien devient une lutte pour la reconnaissance identitaire d'une création propre a un espace transformé par les politiques coloniales. Cette production rend compte de l'engagement social décrivant de façon allégorique la condition de vie du colonisé.

In 2005, Benoît Denis and Jean-Marie Klinkenberg published La littérature belge. Précis d'histoire sociale, the essay which deals with the problematic of the center and the periphery. It is applied on the Belgian-French context and the authors analyze the process of the identity recognition of the minority literature by the majority literature. This model is based on two forces: centripetal, assimilation, and centrifugal, differentiation. The center and the periphery affect each other mutually through the diverse and continual tensions. We use this methodology to explain the elements which influence the collective memory of colonized and the identity question described in Sub-Saharan literatures entering the French literary field. The engagement for the establishment of the real Sub-Saharan literary field becomes the engagement for the recognition of theidentity connected to the space transformed by the colonial politics. Those literatures represent the social engagement in the allegorical description of the life conditions of the colonized.
