Abstrakt
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is an infectious agent that causes acute hepatitis, but can also leadto chronic inflammation, and, consequently, to hepatocellular carcinoma. HBV is described as"stealth virus", since it avoids recognition by the innate immune system in HBV-infectedhepatocytes.
