Abstract

This training is designed as a systematic introduction to the issue of conspiracy theories and conspiracism as a significant contemporary social phenomenon, with implications for public communication, social cohesion, trust in institutions, and the practical functioning of state bodies. It draws on both domestic and international interdisciplinary research at the intersection of religious studies, sociology, anthropology, media studies, and political science, and aims to provide participants with a basic conceptual orientation, an overview of the principal types of conspiracy narratives, their historical transformations, and the mechanisms of their contemporary dissemination.
