"Un fallimento di presenza": l'eerie in Dissipatio H.G. di Guido Morselli

Abstract

L'articolo si propone di fornire una nuova interpretazione di uno dei più significativi romanzi distopici scritti in Italia nella seconda meta del XX secolo, ovvero Dissipatio H.G. di Guido Morselli. Dopo una breve introduzione sul tema del romanzo, si passa all'analisi testuale degli elementi che costituiscono l'atmosfera generale della narrazione, concentrandosi sull'inquietudine degli spazi e degli ambienti secondo la definizione data dal filosofo britannico Mark Fisher. In secondo luogo, ci concentriamo sulla dinamica del "fallimento della presenza" che si confronta con lo sviluppo della trama dopo l'evaporazione del genere umano con la rappresentazione filosofica del "mondo-senza-noi" fornita dal filosofo americano Eugene Thacker. Alla fine, suggeriamo una consonanza tra il mondo disumanizzato mostrato da Morselli e il "mondo esterno" thackeriano, entrambi risultanti in un ambiente naturale ripulito dalla presenza antropica e dai referenti spaziali normalmente impiegati per discuterne.

The paper seeks to provide a new interpretation of one of the most significant dystopian novels written in Italy in the second half of 20th century, namely Dissipatio H.G. by Guido Morselli. After a brief introduction of the topic of the novel, we move toward the textual analysis of the elements that constitute the general atmosphere of the narration, focusing on the eeriness of the spaces and the environments according to the definition given by the British philosopher Mark Fisher. Secondly, we focus on the dynamics of the ((failure of presence}} confronting the development of the plot after the evaporation of humankind with the philosophical depiction of ((the world-without-us}} provided by the American philosopher Eugene Thacker. Eventually, we suggest a consonance between the de-humanized world displayed by Morselli and the thackerian ((external}}, both resulting in a natural environment that has been cleansed by the anthropic presence and the spatial referents which are normally employed to discuss about it.
