Abstract
The chapter provides comprehensive information on the types of professionals working in ECEC in the Czech Republic. The chapter focuses on the different types of positions in various ECEC settings in the Czech Republic. It provides an overview of the ways in which these professionals obtain professional qualifications and summarises the objectives and contents of their training, current innovations and trends in the professional training of ECEC professionals in the Czech Republic. Particular attention is paid to pre-school teachers and the different possibilities for their professional qualification and further training. The chapter is based on content analysis of legislative, curricular and conceptual documents, analysis of statistical and primary research data.
